Course Description
The Basic Child Body Safety Course is designed to educate and empower individuals on the importance of body safety for children. This comprehensive course covers essential topics such as the role of parents and schools in body safety education, understanding and identifying child sexual abuse, recognizing grooming behaviors, and effective response and reporting mechanisms. Through interactive modules, participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed to protect children and promote a safe environment.
Course Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Define who a child is and understand the goals of child protection.

Explain the importance of early body safety education and its link to child protection.

Identify the roles of parents and schools in body safety education.

Define child sexual abuse and recognize its various forms and signs.

Understand the short and long-term impacts of child sexual abuse.

Define child grooming, identify who can groom a child, and recognize examples and locations of grooming.

Develop strategies to stop grooming behaviors.

Respond appropriately to incidents of child sexual abuse and understand the reporting process.

Utilize the Body Safety Kit to educate children on body safety.

Learn from survivor stories to understand the real-life impact of child sexual abuse and the importance of body safety education.

Hello students!
This is a great opportunity for you to start thinking about the project you may want to undertake during the program.
At this stage, your idea does not have to be final and can still change when you submit your concept note. However, if you already have a project in mind that you would like to execute, please feel free to share it here and indicate any resources or support you might need. This will help us begin preparing ahead of time and minimize potential delays. Remember, your project idea can still be refined or adjusted later if necessary.
Instructions to note:
PROJECT TIMELINE: Any time from Match 30 – 19th April
PROJECT REPORT should be submitted by 20th April

NOTE!
To ensure credibility and impact, submit photo and video documentation along with your report.
A. Photo Documentation (Required)
- Teaching Moments: Photos of you actively explaining or demonstrating a child body safety concept using the Kids Body Safety Kit.
- Child Engagement if children are your beneficiary: Pictures of children participating in activities, answering questions, or using the kit.
- Environment Evidence: Photos showing the learning setup (e.g., classroom, home, community hall).
Ensure privacy and consent are strictly followed before taking photos!
B. Video Documentation (Optional, 2-5 mins)
- Session Introduction: A short video of you introducing the session’s goals.
- Kit Usage: A demonstration of how tools from the Kids Body Safety Kit are used.
Engagement Moments: Clips of children participating in interactive activities (Q&A, role-play, group discussions).
