About Us
Our primary objective is to prevent child sexual abuse through EDUCATION, AWARENESS, POLICY & HELP. We strive to create and support policies that protect vulnerable children while promoting comprehensive body safety education and awareness. We aim to ensure that these essential conversations become a regular part of discourse in schools, homes, and various organizations throughout Africa.
Speak Out for Children Development Initiative is a youth-led non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of child sexual abuse across the African continent. Established in 2019 in Nigeria and Cameroon in collaboration with Needful Children, we have expanded our reach and appointed ambassadors in five additional African countries: Burkina Faso, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and The Gambia.
Core Values
CHILD CARE: We are focused on giving a child the best and appropriate care.
ADULT RESPONSIBILITY: We believe and teach adults that they play a huge role in protecting children from being sexually abused.
COLLABORATION: Collaboration is important to us. We partner with other organizations that focus on justice and abuse interventions.
RESPECT: Treating each child equally with respect is key, regardless of class or location.
INNOVATION: We are working hard to ensure change, therefore we are keen on using evolving innovative tools to create awareness and educate people.
VOLUNTEERISM: As a non-profit, we depend on volunteers. We are dedicated to training volunteers, equipping them with the right skills, and assisting them in preventing child sexual abuse.
