Course Description

The Basic Child Body Safety Course is designed to educate and empower individuals on the importance of body safety for children. This comprehensive course covers essential topics such as the role of parents and schools in body safety education, understanding and identifying child sexual abuse, recognizing grooming behaviors, and effective response and reporting mechanisms. Through interactive modules, participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed to protect children and promote a safe environment.

Course Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

1. Define who a child is and understand the goals of child protection.

2. Explain the importance of early body safety education and its link to child protection.

3. Identify the roles of parents and schools in body safety education.

4. Define child sexual abuse and recognize its various forms and signs.

5. Understand the short and long-term impacts of child sexual abuse.

6. Define child grooming, identify who can groom a child, and recognize examples and locations of grooming.

7. Develop strategies to stop grooming behaviors.
